A satellite image of the super typhoon "Megi" (highest category 5) when it made landfall on Luzon Island during my visiting weekend. The green dot represents Manila. The city is about 300km / 200mi avay from the strom's eye and didn't experience much problems. My flight to Singapore, however, was quite bumpy.
