Galápagos Islands (Ecuador)

The archipelago lies in the Pacific Ocean about 1000 km (600 mi) west of the coast of Ecuador and feature probably the greatest wildlife show on earth. We toured the volcanic islands on board of the motor yacht "Coral I" for five days on the route shown below.

Each day usually included two landings which consisted of short hikes and ample time for snorkeling. During this cruise Claudia revealed herself as a versed animal photographer. Unfortunately, we had no underwater camera with us to document all the colorful fishes, starfishes, sharks, squids, sea lions, penguins etc. which we encountered on our snorkeling trips.
